Freshers’ Orientation and Tree Plantation Programme Held at Brahmanbaria Medical College

The Freshers’ Orientation Programme 2026 and Tree Plantation Programme of Brahmanbaria Medical College were held on Sunday at Gallery 1 of the college campus in a festive and inspiring atmosphere.

A total of 60 newly admitted MBBS students of BMC-13, Session 2025–2026, were warmly welcomed through the programme. The event was organized to introduce the freshers to the academic environment, institutional discipline, values, and responsibilities of the medical profession.

The Honourable Managing Director of Brahmanbaria Medical College, Mr. Saimum Sairas, attended the event as the Chief Guest. He warmly welcomed the newly admitted students and delivered an inspiring speech. He encouraged them to study hard, remain dedicated, stay curious, and always remain eager to learn more. Addressing the students, the honourable chief guest, Mr. Saimum Sairas said that medical education requires sincerity, patience, discipline, and continuous effort. He advised the students to make the best use of their young age, energy, and enthusiasm. He further mentioned that the earlier students begin putting sincere effort into their studies and personal development, the sooner they will be able to reap the rewards of their hard work.

Prof. Dr. Md. Zakiur Rahman, Principal, Brahmanbaria Medical College welcomed the new students and urged them to maintain discipline, respect their teachers, build good relationships with classmates, and uphold the dignity of the medical profession. He also advised the students to avoid any form of misconduct and to prepare themselves as compassionate, ethical, and skilled doctors for the service of humanity.

The speakers highlighted that Brahmanbaria Medical College has been contributing to medical education since 2013. Its attached 600-bed teaching hospital, established in 2010, has been providing healthcare services to the people of Brahmanbaria and surrounding areas. The hospital also provides students with a strong clinical learning environment.

As part of the day’s programme, a tree plantation initiative was held on the college campus. Teachers, students, guests, and newly admitted students took part in the plantation activity. The initiative was arranged to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to contribute to a greener and healthier campus.

The programme created a joyful and inspiring atmosphere for the freshers. The newly admitted students expressed their happiness at joining Brahmanbaria Medical College and thanked the college authority, teachers, and senior students for warmly welcoming them.

The event concluded with best wishes for the academic success, personal growth, and bright future of the students of BMC-13, Session 2025–2026.

ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া মেডিকেল কলেজের Freshers’ Orientation Programme 2026 ও বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচি রবিবার কলেজ ক্যাম্পাসের গ্যালারি-১ এ এক উৎসবমুখর ও অনুপ্রেরণাদায়ক পরিবেশে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

অনুষ্ঠানে BMC-13, Session 2025–2026 এর নবভর্তিকৃত ৬০ জন এমবিবিএস শিক্ষার্থীকে উষ্ণভাবে বরণ করে নেওয়া হয়। নবাগত শিক্ষার্থীদের কলেজের একাডেমিক পরিবেশ, প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শৃঙ্খলা, মূল্যবোধ এবং চিকিৎসা পেশার দায়িত্ব সম্পর্কে পরিচিত করিয়ে দেওয়ার উদ্দেশ্যে এ অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজন করা হয়।

ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া মেডিকেল কলেজের সম্মানিত ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক জনাব সাইমুম সাইরাস অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। তিনি নবভর্তিকৃত শিক্ষার্থীদের উষ্ণভাবে স্বাগত জানান এবং অনুপ্রেরণামূলক বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন। তিনি শিক্ষার্থীদের মনোযোগ দিয়ে পড়াশোনা করতে, নিষ্ঠাবান থাকতে, জ্ঞানার্জনে কৌতূহলী হতে এবং সবসময় আরও শেখার আগ্রহ ধরে রাখতে উৎসাহিত করেন।

শিক্ষার্থীদের উদ্দেশে জনাব সাইমুম সাইরাস বলেন, চিকিৎসা শিক্ষা অর্জনের জন্য আন্তরিকতা, ধৈর্য, শৃঙ্খলা এবং ধারাবাহিক প্রচেষ্টা প্রয়োজন। তিনি শিক্ষার্থীদের তরুণ বয়সের শক্তি, উদ্যম ও উৎসাহকে সঠিকভাবে কাজে লাগানোর পরামর্শ দেন। তিনি আরও উল্লেখ করেন, শিক্ষার্থীরা যত দ্রুত তাদের পড়াশোনা ও ব্যক্তিগত উন্নয়নের জন্য আন্তরিক পরিশ্রম শুরু করবে, তত দ্রুত তারা সেই পরিশ্রমের সুফল ভোগ করতে পারবে।

ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া মেডিকেল কলেজের অধ্যক্ষ প্রফেসর ডা. মো. জাকিউর রহমান নবাগত শিক্ষার্থীদের স্বাগত জানান এবং তাদের শৃঙ্খলা বজায় রাখা, শিক্ষকদের সম্মান করা, সহপাঠীদের সঙ্গে ভালো সম্পর্ক গড়ে তোলা এবং চিকিৎসা পেশার মর্যাদা সমুন্নত রাখার আহ্বান জানান। তিনি শিক্ষার্থীদের যেকোনো ধরনের অসদাচরণ থেকে বিরত থাকার এবং মানবসেবার লক্ষ্যে সহানুভূতিশীল, নৈতিক ও দক্ষ চিকিৎসক হিসেবে নিজেদের প্রস্তুত করার পরামর্শ দেন।

বক্তারা উল্লেখ করেন, ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া মেডিকেল কলেজ ২০১৩ সাল থেকে চিকিৎসা শিক্ষায় অবদান রেখে আসছে। এর সংযুক্ত ৬০০ শয্যাবিশিষ্ট শিক্ষা হাসপাতাল, যা ২০১০ সাল থেকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত ও পরিচালিত, ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া ও আশপাশের এলাকার মানুষের চিকিৎসাসেবা প্রদান করে আসছে। একই সঙ্গে এ হাসপাতাল শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য একটি শক্তিশালী ক্লিনিক্যাল শিক্ষার পরিবেশ নিশ্চিত করছে।

দিনের কর্মসূচির অংশ হিসেবে কলেজ ক্যাম্পাসে একটি বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। 

অনুষ্ঠানটি নবাগত শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য আনন্দঘন ও অনুপ্রেরণাদায়ক পরিবেশ সৃষ্টি করে। নবভর্তিকৃত শিক্ষার্থীরা ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া মেডিকেল কলেজে ভর্তি হতে পেরে আনন্দ প্রকাশ করেন এবং উষ্ণ অভ্যর্থনার জন্য কলেজ কর্তৃপক্ষ, শিক্ষকবৃন্দ ও সিনিয়র শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা জানান।

BMC-13, Session 2025–2026 এর শিক্ষার্থীদের একাডেমিক সাফল্য, ব্যক্তিগত বিকাশ ও উজ্জ্বল ভবিষ্যতের জন্য শুভকামনা জানিয়ে অনুষ্ঠানটি সমাপ্ত হয়।
